Testimonies

Here's a testimony from a 20-year old college student who participated in the 1/1/08 prayer day at Grace Fellowship - Cabot:
I have participated in all our church's 24-hour prayer events, and they were great, but I have never personally worked on the prayer stations. This time I spent numerous hours of work in preparation. Before I started setting up our station, I had prayed, asking God what He wanted to see presented for the family section. I got a picture of what I thought our station was supposed to look like, and as I drew it on the wall, I just kept getting more of a heart and passion to pray. It was like the the art alone made a difference. So basically this time, I did more work, prayed longer hours, messed with 'my regular' sleep schedule, got less sleep, but had the time of my life. I wasn't even tired. I had so much energy, it was unbelievable.

Pastor Charlie Newman, Avoca Christian Church, after their prayer day on Sunday, 1/6/08
One of the ladies told me Sunday one of the local papers ran a short column on what we are doing as well, so the word is going out. We had some visitors to our church this past Sunday as a result of those articles, and we had a great turn out [for the prayer day], and a lot more people wanted to be and were involved than I ever thought would be. I was at the church from Saturday night until about 6:30 this morning. After leaving the church, I went to visit some of the elderly, and they told me they found themselves praying several times during yesterday even after leaving the church. One sweet lady (90) told me she went to sleep praying and found herself praying when she woke up. I told her I couldn't think of a better way to get a good night's sleep or get ready for the day. I really believe there are a lot of hungry people out there that God is moving where he wants them. Some of our members (I know it's the Lord because it crosses all age groups) are getting excited in ways I haven't seen in quite some time - to God be the glory!

Lee Turner, Watson Chapel Baptist Church, Pine Bluff
We linked 48 individuals in thirty minute prayer times by telephone. As one person finished, they called the next person on the list. We published a list that had names, time, and who to call and distributed it the Sunday prior to the event so that it went smoothly and I followed up with a call to all 48 in the two days prior to Friday. When the man praying before me passed the “prayer baton” to me at 3:00 AM Friday morning his first words were “thank you for letting me be a part of this”. An interesting foot note: people gave their cell phone numbers and laid their cell phones on their night stands during the sleep hours. Signing up for another day of prayer on 5/2/08.

Pastor Gary Brown, Victory Temple
Just want to let you know that the prayer day at VT was awesome. We did a mix of prayer and worship, with 13 people leading in prayer, 3 prayers/worship, 3 prayers/worship, etc. The Holy Spirit anointed every moment - it was powerful!

Doug Van Devender, Transforming Prayer, Inc., Varner Prison Prayer on Good Friday
I preached the Good Friday message at the Varner Prison Chapel program last Thursday evening. It was only about 16 minutes long, but the Spirit of God was present in a most unusual way. About one hundred men attended. The focus of the message was to invite those who have not been born again - but to whom the Holy Spirit has been speaking for some time - to accept God's offer and gives themselves totally to Christ - and that in light of what God through Christ did on Good Fridan and Easter morning. Security only permitted a brief moment for ministry at the end, so I can't say exactly what was going on in each man. However, about a dozen men came forward to pray for salvation, and another dozen or so for spiritual renewal and/or prayer for physical healing. Some of the inmates joined me in our scheduled prayer day on Good Friday.

Gene Gilmore, Pastor, First Assembly of God, Eureka Springs
We had a good prayer meeting on March 25th. About 40 people were there, and folks seemed to be blessed. Half were from other churches and really enetered in!

Adrian Pinkston, Velie Church in God in Christ, Prayer Date 7/1/08
Let me tell you, our church really enjoyed being a part of this great move for the Lord. I must say that it has put a new spark in our congregation. I appreciate you inviting us to be a part of it. As a result we have decided to incorporate Tuesday prayer each week. I must also give you a praise report. As you can testify to, we picked that date a long time ago, at least some time last year I do believe. Well it just so happens that one of our members had surgery scheduled for that day. She has been having problems with poor circulation in her feet due to diabetes. The doctors have been monitoring her for a while and had just come to the conclusion that they would have to do some surgery. She was told she was probably going to lose some toes. Well let me tell you God worked it out that we were praying on July 1st, the very day her surgery was scheduled. When she made it to the hospital the doctors said, before we operate we are going to check your feet one more time. Miraculously she had regained circulation in both her feet. The doctors didn't know why, but I guarantee that all of us know what happened. Praise God!

David Killingsworth, Forerunner House of Prayer, Green Forest, Testimony of June 27 - 29 Community Worship and Prayer, Springdale
God is amazing! What power was experienced at the prayer meetings over the weekend at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Springdale. On Sunday night, well over 100 people gathered to pray. Some serious warfare was done for 4 hours. By the end of the night, several people had been instantly healed of various infirmities. More and more churches are starting to show up. There were probably a dozen churches represented Sunday night. We are expecting more next month.
